“CPR in Schools” teaches students the fundamental skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and basic life support. They will gain initial practical experience and practise the processes step by step in a safe environment.
The students will listen to an audio clip of a realistic simulation of an emergency call situation and will experience how the emergency call centre guides them step by step. This will teach them that they are not alone in a situation like this and that support is available at all times.
Using a short explanatory film, the students are introduced to chest compressions and then practise them themselves in the correct rhythm. The focus is on active participation and building confidence in taking action.
With the help of an interactive training program, students will practise using an Automated External Defibrillator. They will follow the clear instructions on the device and learn that an AED guides them safely through its use step by step.
Through clearly structured steps and repeated practice, students will gain confidence and assurance in their own actions. They will be encouraged and empowered to administer lifesaving first aid in the event of a cardiac arrest.
